Bad programmer! Bad!

If you find yourself regularly making comments in your code like this:

// Get widgets from the repository with the id
var widgets = _repository.GetWidgets(id);

Please stop. If you think this is helpful and you’re planning to continue writing them in the future, at least strongly consider doing harm to yourself.

Sincerely,
-Every programmer who will ever look at your code in the future

Seriously though, the only way that comment is remotely helpful is if you’re planning to run your code through an obfuscator and then re-insert the comments:

// Get widgets from the repository with the id
var qwe = _aaa.zb3(xt);

Whoa–suddenly that comment is the difference between saving my ass and ruining my day. Thanks bro!
